TEENS CROSSFIT
Classes run Thursdays in term time from 4.30-5.15pm
Teens’ CrossFit is a bridge between Junior Hero Academy and adults’ CrossFit. It teaches great movement patterns and builds on skills already learned in Junior Hero Academy for those kids coming up. We teach basic Olympic Weightlifting techniques alongside other barbell movements, gymnastics and traditional cardio.

WHO IS TEENs’ crossfit for?
It’s for kids year 7 and above - older teens are assessed on an individual basis if they would rather come to adult’s classes. CrossFit is perfect for kids who do other sports such as football, trampoline, rugby, dance and swimming as it supports these activities by strengthening muscles and ligaments, building cardiovascular fitness and endurance and ensuring they don’t allow their bodies to become too specialised in one arena, which can lead to injury.
WHAT DO WE DO?
Teens’ CrossFit reinforces the basics: how to squat, how to hinge at the hips, how to use lightweight equipment safely and effectively, how to channel (or develop) their competitiveness in healthy positive ways and most of all to enjoy being active. We use a wide variety of equipment and activities all scaled to your individual child’s ability and experience.
WHY TRAIN WITH US?
We aim to find the perfect balance between encouraging children to achieve their potential without losing the element of play. We want the kids we train to look forward to coming to our gym; we don’t want them to see it as a chore. Our experinced coach, Maggie, takes Teens’ CrossFit classes, she is also a qualified teacher with full DBS clearance.
